New To Gymnastics?
Welcome to the world of gymnastics leotards! There are many styles and brands to choose from, but don’t feel overwhelmed – we’re here to help find the perfect one that makes your gymnast feel confident in the gym!
Style
First things first, style. There’s two big styles to choose from: leotard or unitard. The difference between these two is the cut of the legs – leotards are cut like a swimsuit while unitards have built-in shorts. Moms who prefer more coverage, or have younger kids, typically opt for the unitard style. While older or higher-level girls typically choose leotards and they can opt to wear shorts if they want. Whichever you choose, you want your girl to feel confident working out in the gym.
Toddlers
There are more toddler-size options for your tiny gymnast than you may expect! Here’s the measurements from a few of the leading brands with the smallest leotards – you won’t go wrong with any of them!

Different brands size differently
If you haven’t noticed by now, there are huge differences between sizes from brand to brand.
For example, Ozone and Snowflake Designs run small, while Destira and Sylvia P’s sizing fits more closely to everyday clothes size.
Regardless, we ALWAYS suggest checking the brand’s size chart before purchasing an unfamiliar brand. Here’s links to the size charts of some top brands:
